Missouri enforces the strictest packaging design restrictions in the United States. Single primary color only, maximum two logos (2"Ă2" limit), no embossing or texture. ~60-day DCR pre-approval via Metrc is mandatory before products can be sold. Brands entering MO need entirely separate packaging SKUs.

Physical Packaging
- Child-resistant: Must meet PPPA standards
- Tamper-evident: Seal must clearly show if opened
- Opaque: ALL packaging must be opaque (edibles and non-edibles)
- Packaging pre-approval required: Submit to DCR via Metrc for approval before use (~60 day turnaround)
- PLAIN PACKAGING (Effective Sept 2024): Single primary color only, max two logos (2"Ă2" size limit), limited logo colors, no embossing or texture
Labeling Requirements
- Product name/type: Clear identification of product category
- THC/CBD content: Per serving AND total package amounts
- Licensee information: Licensee name and license number
- Batch number: Required for tracking and recalls
- Packaging date and expiration date: Required for all products
- Ingredient list: Complete ingredient list for edibles
- Required warning statements: Missouri-mandated health and safety warnings
